This product worked just fine with Iphone 4s. The phone’s App syncs with My PC through a Quicken Cloud account once created. I almost did not purchase this product due to the other bad reviews I was reading, and such a low level of stars. I recommend this product! A+++

I was able to upgrade and all my existing accounts can still sync just fine with their institutions. I got the PC version hooked up to the Quicken “cloud” and synced my iPad2 and Droid to it via their respective apps. One thing that does suck is splitting transactions on the iPad. Some existing splits I can manage, some I cannot and I can’t tell what the trigger is to cause that condition but anyhow, it’s minor for me. Also, it’s either impossible or I can’t find how to view transactions by category on the mobile version. If you navigate around, sometimes you’ll have the option to view a particular category, i.e. “View uncategorized”, but I’d like to be able to run a report like in full blown version… select categories, accounts, date range, etc. Overall I do like the the mobile feature. iOS and Droid apps are quite useful and I love having them on the go so there are some drawbacks but for a first cut, I really like Quicken Deluxe 2013.

In mid-September, Microsoft Money 2000 stopped updating my stock quotes. I had been happy with Money, but now it was clear that I needed a replacement. I couldn’t tell from existing reviews whether Quicken Deluxe 2012 would convert my data, and that’s why I’m writing this review. The short answer is, Quicken doesn’t convert data from Money 2000, but it does convert data from the Money “Sunset” version. I downloaded the Sunset version (free from Microsoft) and it converted my data, and preserved all my transactions. Then I ran Quicken, and imported my data from Money. No problems.

Next I turned on the online updates for my various accounts. One at a time, I entered my user id and password for each financial institution, and Quicken found my accounts. At this point, it’s important to click on “link to existing account”, rather than the default “add new account”, or else Quicken will create a bunch of new duplicate accounts. Quicken fetched my old transactions for the past few months and posted them. Some transactions duplicated one that I had already entered, and I deleted the old ones, and re-balanced each account.

The Quicken “Deluxe” version does update stock and fund quotes online. You just click a button.

So far, I haven’t encountered any bugs. I can’t comment on the absence of new features from previous versions, because I never owned any previous versions. I understand that I have to buy a new copy of the software every three years. Operating a quote website isn’t free.

The user interface is different from Money, of course, but with the aid of the Help function, I’ve been able to do everything that I need to do.

So if you’re looking for a replacement for Microsoft Money 2000, you can be confident in buying Quicken Deluxe. I understand that there is some difficulty converting from newer versions of Money, in that you are prompted for a password to connect to a Microsoft web site which is no longer in operation. I can’t help with that problem.

Okay, it has been a while since I have really gotten excited about new software, especially financial software, but this version, coupled with my Android is definitely the exception! I was starting to wonder if Quicken was ever going to embrace the mobile community out there but with this new update it is everything I was hoping for and well worth the wait. Been testing the cloud, putting in transactions from my laptop and Android and everything syncs nicely. It will be a while before I can give it a full test, but at least right now I am pretty thrilled. I am now considering for the first time when I go on 2 week vacation to Hawaii this winter NOT lugging my laptop along! This I would say is the biggest Quicken “must have” upgrade since I started using it back with DOS 5.. Also kudos for the nice elegant interface on both the Quicken Deluxe 2013 program and the app.

I updated from 2012 to 2013 Deluxe three days ago after the 3rd patch. The conversion was effortless and I haven’t experienced any issues with the desktop version. I don’t use the mobile app, so can’t comment on it. It gets a four rating only because of the price increase.

Quicken Deluxe 2013 Update was flawless and my old data was imported without any hitches,and then Most of my account login info transferred with no issues, but I had to go back in and re-set some. My accounts with PFCU still won’t download, but I haven’t dug into it.And the third The annoying extra step of telling Quicken to download all transactions after you log into your PWD vault is gone. Now, after you log into the PWD vault upon startup, it just does a download and at last Noticed that in my Windows 7 program list, there is no icon for Quicken 2013, although on my Desktop there is.

I think Quicken Deluxe 2013 is a great improvement over 2010. Things are in different places but I think it is great.Though some people have some other opinion for Quicken Deluxe 2013.As a die-hard MS Money user for the past 20 years, I rejected the idea of moving to another home finance package but was forced into it when my software got corrupted recently. I bought Quicken with fingers crossed. Installation was a breeze, and setting up my file and accessing my financial accounts was very straightforward. In prior versions of Quicken I would do this by entering fake transactions into the register, which was much harder to keep track of.Overall, you can really see/feel the integration of Quicken and Mint, I have stopped using Mint altogether now because most of the best pieces now existing in the Quicken side.The only reason I am reducing a star is because the mobile sync does create duplicate records on occasion, and automatic transaction downloads still need to be reviewed very carefully for errors or other issues. It has gotten better with the patches released since the beginning of the year, but there are still some occasional anomalies that cause me to spend an extra 15 minutes reviewing data. I’ve been using Quicken for many years and generally upgrade yearly. I love the program but I didn’t really see much difference between 2012 and 2013 unless you use a smart phone or tablet which I don’t. I probably could have passed on this year’s update.

Another major improvement to Quicken Deluxe 2013 is support for electronic file association. Last year’s version can be stored in the file in hard disk, the new version this year not only support the scanner, also may be associated with the Windows clipboard file. Been a Quicken users for years and a Mint user. The new app combined the best of both worlds which is great. I think they still have some work to do with the budgeting. We follow the Zero Based budgeting method, where every dollar is spent on paper on purpose for the paycheck comes in. And the budget is monthly and then allocated paycheck to paycheck. The quicken system does not seem to be handle this zero based budgeting method, so still having to use spreadsheets for my monthly budgets. I was so exicted for Quicken 2013 with the mobile app. I downloaded the program-I already was using Quicken in the past, and all worked well. When I went to my mobile device both checking accouts were there but it only allows me to add any transactions to just one account and not the other. This is disappointing since the real reason I wanted the mobile app was to be able to put in the transations instead of saving receipts which get lost until I get to my PC.
